My Star Collector Car website design - XHTML/CSS, Content Management System, and On-line Magazine
Jerry and Jim Sutherland, the creators of My Star Collector Car were looking for a suitable platform that they could use to share the images and stories of classic cars and their owners that they have gathered over the years. They decided to go with digital media because it provided more flexibility and offered a greater reach for their content. A website would also provide user interaction including an on-line newsletter and a contact form where users could submit images stories directly to the team.
iMAGINE was able to provide a clean and well structured design and a content management system that could stand up to the Client's needs. The design samples ideas that are both new and old and shows subtle accents that make the content stand out. The website was coded using standards compliant HTML and CSS with little hints of Javascript to add some extra functionality and interaction to the user experience.
The content management system was extended using an on-line newsletter component and a contact form that will allows users to submit classic car events and images of their favourite classics. On the back end of the CMS, the team will be able to enter all of their stories into the system to be stored and published at a later date. They will also be able to upload images that can be used in the image galleries showcased on the website.
